At the event run by the organization “Friends of the New Mexican School Symphony Orchestra,” the Arena hall of San Carlos Plaza gathered approximately 150 Americans from the community of San Carlos for a debut concert of the orchestra which is made up of students from the public schools in Guaymas.
The concert was a resounding success for the students of more public schools that form the full-time school program.
The formation of the symphony orchestra and choirs aims to benefit the development and education of children between the fourth year of elementary school and third grade of secondary school. There are about 72 orchestras of this style in all of the Mexican republic and events such as these that help raise funds for the maintenance and purchase of equipment and instruments.
The board of trustees of the organization “Friends of the New Mexican School Symphony Orchestra” appreciates the participation and support of the San Carlos community that continues to support this work that benefits dozens of children in the public education system.
